The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has developed ERM‑BD801, a certified reference material (CRM) consisting of cocoa butter certified for five key triacylglycerols. It offers laboratories a reliable tool for enforcing the EU Chocolate Directive (Directive 2000/36/EC).
